The Health Center

Imagine a skilled nursing center where compassionate care and wholeness of body, mind and spirit are at the very heart of what we do. Welcome to Woodland Retirement Community where our staff, volunteers and families work together to help people maintain their independence, renew their strength, or live out their lives in an accepting, supportive environment.

We know that the Orbisonia area is a special place to live and work and are proud to serve seniors and their families in our community. We believe in and live the PHI mission and are dedicated to meeting the needs of our community and residents every day.

Rehabilitative Therapy is provided for seniors after a stroke, joint replacement, fracture, or recuperative care following hospitalization. In consultation with your physician, we make a determination on how you might benefit from physical, occupational, speech, or respiratory therapy. Once therapy is initiated, we remain in close contact with your physician to provide updates on your progress and determine any further courses of treatment.

By using an individualized approach, our therapy team seeks to shorten lengths of stay in the rehabilitation process, with the goal to return you to your home or a lesser level of care as soon as possible.

Family and friends also play a significant role in the rehab process. They might be asked to observe or participate in treatment sessions. They may also be asked to attend a care conference to assist in setting goals for discharge.

Long term skilled nursing care is provided for people needing ongoing supervision by licensed nursing staff, when they do not qualify for Medicare reimbursement, or need nursing services for a longer period of time.

Skilled nursing respite services provide temporary relief and peace of mind to family caregivers when they want to take a vacation or simply need a break from caring for a loved one.

So, if someone you love needs skilled nursing services or inpatient therapy after a stroke, illness, or surgery, contact us. We’ll be pleased to provide additional information and a tour.
